Last night we wound the clock back one hour, giving me an extra hour of sleep, or in my case, an extra productive hour in the morning. 🙂 Well, I do like to get up late on Sundays, but even after getting up a little bit late (around 7.00am, which would’ve been 8.00am during daylight saving), I’ve managed to do a lot of things!
I have so far managed to dig out the silverbirch tree in the front yard, to make room for the Prunus campanulata (Flowering Formosan Cherry) that I bought last week from Cleveland Nursery. I cut down the silverbirch tree last week but I postponed pulling the stump off the ground, because I knew it would be a lot of hard work. Well, it was! I was really pleased that I could pull it out at the end after cutting the main roots – so after moments of sweating, sawing, digging, pulling and cutting, the tree stump broke loose at last! Hurrah!
I’m currently listening to my So Frenchy So Chic 2008 CD – Dans La Merco Benz is on at the moment, providing the background music to my second cup of coffee. I’m also doing my laundry – hopefully by the time the laundry’s ready, I can take a shower and then head off to church. It’s great to start the day with an extra spring in your steps! After church, we’re going to have a meeting about the upcoming church camp during the ANZAC Day long weekend. At 4.00pm, I will watch my final French film from the French Film Festival.
It’s going to be a great day. 🙂
