Saturday evening here – and it’s not even 8pm and I’m feeling bored …
I had a good day so far though – it started with me being woken up by the alarm clock close to 9am. The birds were also loudly chirping around outside. There are heaps of New Holland Honeyeaters around where I live and they make a lot of noise everytime spring is in the air.

So, begrudgingly I got up, got out of the house to quickly check whether I received the Saturday Advertiser that I subscribed to. I must have been a sight to behold – wearing my grey fleece-top, sarong, a pair of socks, in my Nescafe red slippers. Hahaha. I couldn’t find the papers though – I will need to call the Advertiser next week.
After coffee, crumpet and shower, I went to the city to have the prayer meeting at Ps. Toming’s house. It was a good session – there were only a few people there though because Caven and Mary were still on their way back from the snowfields. Afterwards, some of us had lunch in the city – I did contemplate in going to work for a while, but decided against it because I wanted to have enough time in the late afternoon to do my laundry and to plant the crepemyrtle tree that I bought on Thursday.
So, after lunch, I went to Rundle Mall, bought myself 22l of pine bark chips for mulching, and some potting mix and went home afterwards. To cut a long story short, I dug out the dead erica plant, chucked it into the green bin, dug a bigger hole for the crepemyrtle tree, and put enough mulch around it.
Now, I guess perhaps I can relax with a DVD over a cup of rooibos tea … we’ll see!
