Mitt europeiske hjørne

… or in other words, “My European corner“. This is the first step in creating my Little Europe around my house. I plan to put this and that in the driveway area behind the garage to create a corner that feels and looks more like Europe. I love the cozy feelings of European laneways and corners – that sense of history and intimacy.

I have been on a quest to find a couple of metal window box planters so I can put them under the front windows, as well as one for the side window. I love the flowers and contrast that I saw when I travelled in Europe last year – in the drab corners and buildings in cities like Prague or Tallinn, I would find a window planter underneath the window to brighten the scenery. I still haven’t found them here in Adelaide unfortunately!

I am still on that quest – if anybody knows where I can find a wrought-iron window box planter here in Adelaide, please contact me! Well, putting that aside, I thought maybe I should find another way to put more plants in my European corner to improve the view. I found a cheap bracket for a planter in K-Mart along with the planter – I also bought some plants for the planter, and voila! – here is the result …

I’ll keep you updated on what I do with the progress of my European corner. 🙂
