Put Your Hand on Your Heart

It’s a mellow evening here in Adelaide – the rain is howling outside and is bringing the respite that the State has been needing for months and months now. It’s great listening to the sound of the pitter patter on my roof even though the strong wind can be a bit of a worry sometimes.

I didn’t do anything special today, except for a visit to my Pastor’s house to discuss about the direction of the church for the next couple of months. Afterwards, we went to Chinatown for lunch (I had a huge vegetarian meal and a glass of cool soya milk, which I enjoyed!). I had a nap on the couch too and then watched my “Circle of Friends” DVD that I bought many years ago in Singapore. I have heaps of movies that are waiting to be watched – the same with books – some are just screaming to be read. 🙂 I lit some candles in the living room too – I felt like it even though there’s no special occasion this evening. The movie’s not that bad, although I realised that I have become more jaded and cynical than I was many years ago. When I was a uni student, I used to like movies such as “While You Were Sleeping” and the likes and I could get into the romance of it – now I can just see the plot from miles away and start to predict where the story is going to. That is why I like European and arthouse movies thesedays, they are less predictable with their story-telling and moviemaking.

Regarding the story of this blog entry, I saw the clip of this song in the morning on Channel Ten’s Video Hits and I like it a lot! José González sings Kylie Minogue’s “Put Your Hand on Your Heart” and turns it into a mellow song. The clip’s really well done too – I managed to find it in YouTube and I thought I’d share it with you all …

Enjoy … !

I've finally relented to the lures of blogging - and for those who care, well, I'm a self-confessed geek who's a wanderer at heart, who thinks and analyses too much, and who's trying hard to hold on to his 7-year old inner persona.
