In the wee small hours of the morning …

It’s 7 minute past midnight on Saturday morning … and I’m still awake. I should’ve been in bed hours ago but I was caught up in the process of upgrading my WordPress version from 2.1 to 2.2.2. WordPress is the program that I use to facilitate my blog. It took a little bit tinkering because I thought that the new version would allow me to embed a YouTube video as part of the standard feature – but it doesn’t, so I still have to find a suitable plugin amongst those listed on WordPress’ website. I’ve finally found one that works perfectly so now you can see YouTube videos directly from my jBløg page.

I’m feeling rather lonely too tonight – I don’t know why. I sometimes joked to my workmates that when I felt grumpy without any apparent reasons that it was my period. Hehehe. Yeah, bad joke, I know. So maybe this is one of my periods — I did have a reasonably good day at work — had an easy morning with some tasks to finish, afterwards I attended the Marketing Week lunch that went from 1.00pm – 3.30pm. Max Walker, a cricketer-footy-player-architecture-enterpreneur came to discuss his ‘secret of success’. It was an enjoyable event – great food, good presentation. I was invited by one of the research agencies who was one of the main sponsors of the event. They are keen in being more involved with the research projects from work …

It was Ashleigh’s last day at work as well. Ashleigh’s one of my colleagues from work who has become a great friend. Her husband was around as well to join the Friday drinks with the Marketing staff. I stayed for a bit and then headed off to Central Market to do my grocery shopping. The mellow mood hit me as I took the bus home … ah well, I’m sure I’ll cheer up when I get up in the morning.

I've finally relented to the lures of blogging - and for those who care, well, I'm a self-confessed geek who's a wanderer at heart, who thinks and analyses too much, and who's trying hard to hold on to his 7-year old inner persona.
